Maria Lucia Prinz has over 20 years experience in the tourism sector,. An eco tourism specialist has expertise in the areas of business planning, product development, sales, and marketing. She specializes in product development, staff training in tourism operations, and nature guide training, community- based tourism enterprises and conservation.
In 2009, she developed a methodology specific to tourism based enterprises, the application of which results in an operations manual prepared by the participants, including step-by-step procedures on operations, logistics, and the financials of their business. Through this methodology Lucia has helped to successfully develop a number of ecotourism enterprises in Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, Honduras, Grenada, Armenia, Sri Lanka.
Her passion is to work with rural communities to empower participants on assuming roles of leadership and responsibility within their enterprises.
